About Ashvyn Tickets

Ashvyn Tickets started with a simple, annoying question: why is it still this hard to find out what's actually happening in Wellington this weekend?

Not because there's nothing on — there's almost always something on. The problem was never a lack of events. It was discovering them, trusting what you found, and then getting through the ticketing itself without five browser tabs and three different sign-ups.

Where it came from

That friction kept showing up the same way: scrolling through half-updated event posts, messaging a venue to check if something was even still on, then landing on a checkout page that had nothing to do with the event or the city. Talking to smaller local organisers made it clear the frustration ran both ways — plenty of them were leaning on the same scattered mix of social posts and spreadsheets just to sell tickets to their own event.

What we're building

Ashvyn Tickets is a Wellington-first platform being built to make local event discovery and ticketing simpler — for people looking for something to do, and for the organisers putting it on. One place to see what's actually happening around the city, real event details instead of guesswork, and a ticketing flow that gets out of the way.

Where things stand

We're early, and we'd rather be upfront about that than oversell it. Right now that means genuinely free registration for Ashvyn-ticketed events like Bass Night, plus a growing set of real Wellington events surfaced for discovery even on the ones we're not selling tickets for ourselves. Paid ticketing isn't live yet.
